Coleslaw Burger



  • 2 pieces of TEMPTY (200g), cut into bite-size pieces

  • 1 cup panko crumbs

  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 4 tbsp water

  • Vegetable oil for frying

  • Salt

  • Pepper


  • 2 cups thinly shredded cabbage

  • 1 small carrot, thinly shredded

  • 1/4 cup vegan mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp white vinegar

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • Salt & pepper to taste


  • 1/4 cup vegan mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp sriracha

  • Splash of lime juice


  • 2 vegan buns

  • 1 tbsp vegan butter

  • Pickled cucumber slices


1. Prepare coleslaw by mixing cabbage, carrot, mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar. Add salt and pepper to taste and leave to rest in the fridge. 

2. Mix ingredients for the spicy mayo in a bowl and set aside. 

3. To coat TEMPTY, mix water with flour to create a slurry. Turn TEMPTY in the slurry and then in panko crumbs. 

4. Deep-fry TEMPTY in a generous amount of oil until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper. 

5. Heat butter in a pan and toast halved buns. 

6. Spread mayo at the bottom half of the bun, place TEMPTY on top, then coleslaw, pickles, and lastly the other half of the bun. Enjoy!
